Gingersnaps

Gingersnaps

Ingredients:

¾ c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
¼ c. molasses (I used full strength)
1 egg
1 ¾ c. flour (more if you want stiffer cookies)
1 t. ginger
1 t. cinnamon
2 t. baking soda
½ t. salt
Directions
Cream together shortening and sugar, add egg and beat until fluffy. Stir in molasses and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix. Use a cookie scoop to scoop out dough and roll into balls. Dip tops in sugar. They flatten as they bake. Bake at 350° for exactly 8 minutes. Remove from baking sheet and cool.
