Dinners we've had for those who like ideas!

Lasagna, with bolognese and bechemel sauces!! MMMM. Artisan French bread from our new Harmon's. A little pricey. Green beans from a can because I was too tired of cooking to make a salad.

Sweet and sour chicken and rice and asparagus.

Roast and mashed potatoes. Homemade Ardella's Rolls. Cantaloupe and watermelon. Corn. (This was our Mother's Day Sunday dinner.) CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES leftover from Mrs. Cavanaugh's, my neighbor is her daughter. The strawberries were starting to get a bit of zing to them.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup.

Homemade pepperoni pizza. No knead-no rise-yummy pizza dough.

For my daughter's birthday a couple weeks ago we made homemade chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting piled high and and topped with an oreo, and strawberry cupcakes from a mix piled high with whipped canned strawberry frosting topped with a strawberry slice. They were so beautiful in a little cupcake stand I borrowed, but I didn't take a picture. Her friends were afraid to take one and destroy my masterpiece. Mmmm were the chocolate ones good.

For her birthday dinner, which was also on Easter, we had pigs in a blanket. She insisted because it was also National Pig in a Blanket Day. We had a ham dinner complete with au gratin potatoes earlier in the day.
